November Meeting Minutes

JuvLC  11-17-13 Meeting Minutes

  • Julia is officially the new secretary, lol!
  • Fr. Richard has graciously agreed to let us do fundraising at OLPS in the form of a bake sale!!!  Danielle's in charge of coordinating that.
  • We have a $1000 (at least) goal for fundraising for M4L (March for Life) (for which the deadline by which to get $ in is Jan. 5).
  •      --Chik-Fil-A fundraiser is a go!  We have only to set a date, which will probably be some near Tuesday.  It'd also be cool if we can do this fundraiser a second time.
  • Somebody came up with the fantastic idea to get a JuvLC banner! that we can bring to cool things (like M4L, Chartres, etc.) and represent with.  Paul is in charge of getting a banner together.
  • Julia's gonna make corrections with the JuvLC meeting prayers.

Next Meeting: December 8, so heads up!!!

Juventutem Meeting This Sunday

Whoa! Another meeting is upon us. See y'all after Mass. It's a little early this month, to account for Thanksgiving break.

  • I hope to use this meeting to improve communication, because there may be a lot going on, but communication definitely needs an overhaul.
  • We'll be discussing what money we need to raise, all leads that have come about for how to raise it and establish a leadership to execute the tasks.
  • We'll be discussing other various ways to promote our identity from the excellent ideas from among our ranks.
  • We'll conclude with how we can go about achieving those goals.

Saturday, October 26, 2013

Just a reminder about the meeting tomorrow. See you after Mass! Also, bring your registration forms to hand in to me at the meeting along with the deposit $

A king without a conscience. A man without fear: Winner of 6 Academy awards including Best Actor, Best Director and Best Picture (1966)! Sir Thomas More (Paul Scoefield), England's Roman Catholic Chancellor, is forced into a difficult position when corrupt King Henry VIII (Robert Shaw) demands his approval to divorce his wife and marry his mistress. Torn between his conscience and duty to the crown, Sir Thomas chooses to say nothing, sparking the rage of the king. What unfolds is a battle of will packed with palace intrigue, political brinksmanship and the fate of man, church and country. In the end, his silence spoke loudest of all.
